On “Wacky Wednesdays” the boys get to come to school in whatever they want! These are some of their favorite choices from Auntie Julie.
Buzz joins us every once in a while.
Then there is the occasional visit from the pantsless cowboy Zaiah.
Welcome to into our school room! We always have a lot of fun around Worley Academy.
Packing up his backpack for his school day adventures.
You may find us playing with puppets,
Larryboy Saves The Day and defeats the sock puppets from the planet crazy! Isaiah didn’t quite get that he was supposed to hide behind the curtain.
Learning about building and gravity.
Figuring out what ingredient in powdered drinks makes them smoke (which makes Samuel cough) when you open them.
And a little fractions and chemistry to make dirt cups for a yummy treat.
We could be watching a bird’s nest for the eggs to hatch,
There is a dove’s nest in there with several eggs and we did get to see the baby birdies.
or catching snakes and slugs in the garden.
We kept this snake in the cage for a while and then found out he was good for garden. I’m just hoping I don’t see him again.
We found him next to a pile of slugs….come to find out, that was his dinner!
What we are always doing..is learning.
We do lots of fun math activities:
Both the boys loves pattern blocks.
Tracing their hands and estimating how many fruit loops would fit inside. They were both WAY off.
But they had a lot of fun!
Copying geometric shapes with pretzels. I have tried really hard to incorporate snack time into my lessons.
Isaiah wanted to make a kite out of his toast. He had to figure out what shapes he would need to make it. Looks pretty good to me! He took a surprise picture of it on Daddy’s phone.
We also do other things,
We create amazing works of art.
Build silly potato heads.
We learn spelling and reading.
And even made our own chore charts.
But I believe the most exciting part of their day is imagination time. They get to travel anywhere in their imaginary worlds for their adventures. Here are few things they like to do:
Fight off villains with their Super Tae Kwon Do Powers.
Go on adventures as Larry Boy and his Side Kick. (The plunger had been a favorite toy around here for years.)
Meet Ash & Koner the Pokemons. I really don’t understand this one yet.
Build castles to rescue the princess. This castle was complete with a mote and a princess, me!
Mario and Luigi are here Princess Peach!
This IS the Dragon/Bowser/Pokemon enemy depending which place their imagination takes them.
We have a lot of fun at Worley Academy and this is just the beginning!
